Video: Toronto’s networking guru Tim Cork on how to work a room
published May 19, 2010
Don’t be intimidated by networking any longer! In this short video, Tim Cork (BA ’81), whom the Globe and Mail named the networking guru, demystifies networking and gives three great tips on how exactly to work a room — how to approach someone, what questions to ask them and what goals to have in mind.
This video was produced in conjunction with the York alumni Real Life Event Series, which teaches recent grads useful skills and information for everyday life. Cork gave an extended talk to a sold out crowd of York grads in February 2010 as part of this series. To find out what Real Life events are coming up, check out our event calendar.
